Ready for summer!

We are ready for summer! The countdown has started so in the spirit of the season we tried on Kylie's cute bathing suit and hat from her Aunt Jaime and Uncle Nick. Too cute! Kylie has had a busy week. She is making fast progress on her crawling skills. She sorta "hops" her legs forward when she is in the crawling postion to move herself. So, this weekend my goal is to baby proof the house. Another milestone, if you will, Kylie officially threw her first tantrum. She was holding a card and I took it away and she flung her whole body backward while screaming. Just to see what she would do I gave it back and she instanting stopped. Hmmm, we're in trouble!

Six months old!

Our little sweetie is six months old. Let me give a quick update on what's she is doing. She had her six month well visit with the doctor and he said she was doing great! She weighed in at 14.1 pounds (10-25%ile) and 26 1/4 inches
(50 - 75%ile) long. Over Easter weekend, when she turned 6 months, she decided it was time to get moving! She is up on all fours and rocks. But what she really loves right now is rolling ALL over. The days of laying her on a blanket are over. Life is about to get busier for us then it already is! She can sit for a short amount of time but would much prefer to be rolling around. She doesn't stop...maybe that's why she only weighs 14 pounds! She "talks" all the time. I love listening to all her differnt sounds as she is learning to put them together. She continues to squeal and make raspberries. Kylie is pretty consistently sleeping through the night. She is ready for bed between 7:30 - 8:00 and most night sleeps until 6:15 - 6:30. She loves Bailey and the cats and she is full of smiles. Her favorite toys these days are a ball, lids, spoons, and her wipes container! Oh, and did I mention how quick her hands are? She grabs anything and everything! It's fun watching her learn all about the big world we live in. Happy Six month Kylie!

Kylie's 1st Easter!

Kylie had a fantastic time celebrating her first Easter. We went up to Mom and Dad's for the weekend. Kylie was spoiled rotten with Easter gifts and attention all weekend long. Thanks to my entire family for making Ky's Easter (and ours) so special. Kylie was in a great mood all weekend. Saturday evening she sat in her great grandpa's lap for a long time while providing the after dinner entertainment! She also got up on all fours and rocked back and forth for the first time! It won't be long before she is crawling. I will update more later this week. Happy Easter everyone!

Spring Break!

What a wonderful week! We started off by going up to Mom and Dad's for a few days. Kylie got to spend some good quality time with her grandparents and aunts and uncles. Grandma & Grandpa babysat and I got to enjoy a pedicure, shopping, seeing my sister's brand new house, visiting with friends and just relaxing. Kylie and I visited her Grandma and Grandpa at work where she really turned on the charm to their co-workers. Her grandma took off work one day and we went to visit Kylie's Great grandparents. Kylie LOVED a ball my grandma had and belly laughed at the game she played with them. Needless to say, Kylie was never lacking attention on her visit. We came back to Lexington Wednesday afternoon. Thank you to my friend Kristin who watched Ky while I went to the dentist on Thursday. We also had Kylie's hips ultrasounded again and everything checked out fine (Yeah!) Now we are planning to enjoy the restof break with daddy at home. I have loved being home with her all week. She is so much fun! How much longer till summer break?
