Visit to Dr. Campbell

Monday was a big  day for us.  Jeff and I celebrated out 7th anniversary and we got to see our baby girl by ultrasound.  My doctor sent me to see Dr. Campbell, a high risk OB, because I tested positive for gestational diabetes.  Our visit went great.  My sugar is being kept under control by diet and most important our baby girl looks healthy!  My Mom and sister Jill were able to join Jeff and I so they were able to get a sneak peak at her also.  Dr. Campbell estimated her at about  2lbs and 10 ounces.  He did an extensive ultrasound which let him see all her important "parts" and said she looked very healthy.  We did find out she is breech, but he and my doctor assured me there is plenty of time for her to turn herself around.  She is quite the little acrobat right now.  She had her legs up  by her head and we were able to watch her grab one of her feet with her hands.  Amazing.

Creating our Blog

With lots of help from my friend Kristin W we are on our way to joining the world of blogging.  We hope to use this as a way to help family and friends keep up with our exciting news. What's the news?  In case you don't know - we are having a baby girl!  She is due October 26, 2008 and we could not be more excited.  As many of you know it has been quite a journey and we would not be where we are now without the support of all of our family and friends. We have been blessed in so many ways.  THANK-YOU!

I am feeling great and I am really enjoying every moment of this pregnancy.  She is kicking all the time and I love it!  At night Jeff and I will sit and just watch her move and kick.  It's amazing.  I will do my best to keep everyone up to date on my doctors visits and her progress.  If I can figure out how to scan an ultrasound I will post one!
