Aunt Jaime Visits

Aunt Jaime came to visit Thursday on her day off. We were so excited to have her down for the day! We went to the mall and ate some lunch and did a little Christmas shopping. We spent the afternoon at home and Aunt Jaime held Kylie while I was able to get a little cleaning done. Of course Kylie loved someone holding her all day! Kylie wore her princess sleeper that Aunt Jaime and Uncle Nick gave her. She is the new princess....sorry aunt Jill! Kylie, Jeff and I are looking forward to coming home for Thanksgiving in less then a week. Yeah!!!

First Smile

Kylie is now 5 weeks old and it was an exciting week for us. Kylie gave us her first true smile this past weekend! It melted our hearts. We also started laying her on her play mat. She is starting to track objects and will lay on the mat for about 10 minutes by herself. She also is doing great with tummy time. She is getting really good control of her head for only 5 weeks old. She also doesn't mind taking a nap while she is supposed to be doing tummy time (see pic below). The first picture you see says it all on her bib..." I was worth the wait".

Kylie is one month old!

Wow! We can't believe it's already been a month! It's hard for Jeff and I to tell, but friends and family tell us she is getting bigger. She is definitely getting stronger. When we do tummy time she holds her head upright for several seconds. She is kicking her legs and streching her arms all the time. We are still waiting for her first true smile, although we see her smile all the time in her sleep and when she is eating. We know it's coming soon. She loves bath time and maybe even more then bath time the warm cudding with daddy afterward! As for Jeff and I, we can't get enough of her. Our life has never been richer. Enjoy her one month pics!

Kylie's First Halloween!

We had fun all week dressing Kylie up in her Halloween outfits. She turned three weeks on Halloween. She went back to the doctor last Thursday and she is doing great! She weighed in at 7lbs, 14 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long! We enjoyed our first walk this weekend with beatiful 70 degree weather. (Bailey was glad to see things go back to normal). I am celebrating my birthday today and what a great gift she has been. My family came down to help celebrate, and of course to see the main attraction - Kylie Hope!

Kylie Hope turns two weeks!

Kylie is already 2 weeks old!  She is doing really well. She  likes her hands and has discovered she likes to suck her thumb!  Her hands are usually up by her face, especially when she is sleeping or when she gets mad! She has just recently learned to grab onto my shirt when I burp her.  Her hair is still brown, with blond highlights on the edges.  Her eyes still appear to be blue, at least for right now.   She sleeps between 3-4 hours at night, which we think is pretty good! She loves to be talked to and appears to hang on our every word.  She has enjoyed getting to visit with her grandparents, aunts and uncles and lots of freinds.  She also met her friend Madeline Jade and they even had matching shirts!  We appreciate all the meals and gifts people have brought- thanks! Enjoy the pictures!

Kylie meets her Great Grandparents

My parents bought my grandparents down to meet Kylie Hope last Friday.  She was wide-eyed and alert for their entire visit!  She seemed to be taking in all of her visitors and everyone talking to her.  It was so much fun to watch her meet her great grandparents for the first time.

A tribute to my Grandma Dann

I wanted to write a small tribute to my  Grandma Dann.  She passed away peacefully in her sleep exactly a week before Kylie Hope was born.  There has not been a day that goes by that I have not thought about her since her passing.  We believe that Grandma put a "request" in to get Kylie here a little early so all would know that she was at peace and watching over our little angel.  Grandma lived a full almost 94 years of life.  She was gentle hearted and kind to everyone.  We would be proud if Kylie took after her great grandma.  Thanks for a life time of memories.
