Just a few more pics

We are enjoying passing our time by taking lots of pictures of Kylie.  We thought we would share a few just to update everyone.  She is eating and sleeping pretty well.  She prefers to be held and we of course don't mind!  How can we say no to this sweet girl? Enjoy the pics!

Bringing Kylie Home!

We are home with Kylie Hope! Our hospital stay was nice but we were so excited to get her home. We appreciated all the visitors who came to see us- we loved showing her off! When we got home Bailey gave her a nice welcome home sniff and kiss and since then has stayed close to Jeff and I and pretty much ignored Kylie! We took her for her first doctor visit today (Tuesday) to see Dr. Mack. She checked out great. Her weight had dropped to 6 lbs, 11 oz in the hospital but today was up to 6 lbs, 12 oz. He said she looked great! The days are already passing quickly as we find ourselves just holding her and watching her in amazement. She is such a miracle to us!

Finally an update!

I am such a terrible blogger but I promise to get better when she arrives! Luckily my friend Kristin helps me out. So here is the latest. I am on my home stretch and I can't beleive how fast the time has gone. My doctor has decided to do a C-section on October 21st because the baby is still in a breech position. She is estimated at 7 lbs, 3 oz as of yesterday (10/1/08). I will have an ultrasound and stress test each week until she arrives. Below are some pictures from my last ultrasound. We finally got a glimpse of her face in a profile view. Her leg is up against her face. Hopefully you can see it! Yes, those are her plump little cheeks that I can't wait to kiss and squeeze!

Emmi's still pregnant : )

I just wanted to let everyone know that Emmi is still pregnant. Kylie is almost here and we all can't wait to see her. Because Emmi is ~36 weeks pregnant I guess I will not bother her too much about updating her blog. She looks fabulous and she and Jeff are very excited about Kylie's arrival. Here are some pictures from her shower at work. (She got the Pack-n- Play she registered for). Hopefully we will see pictures of Kylie's room soon! By the way--she has no idea that I am updating her blog--hope she doesn't mind! Everyone at the Village is very excited for her, but we will all miss her tremendously when she is on maternity leave.

Room Update

I know it's been awhile since our last post.  I was waiting for the baby's room to be finished to post pictures of it.   I  should have known that completing the baby's room would not be a one weekend or two weekend event. I've discovered it's more of a process then a weekend project!  Jeff is a perfectionist when it comes to his projects and he wants his baby girl's room perfect.  Jeff's dad taught him many things in the 15 years he had him before his surgery left him disabled.  One of the lessons Jeff has held true to is that if you are going to  do something, do it right.  Needless to say, he has put a lot of time and heart into his little girl's room.   We are so excited with the way it is turning out.  We are almost ready to move in furniture and decorate walls.  Jeff painted the room "sassy lilac" (we found that fitting!) and white, hung crown molding and a chair rail, and laid hard wood flooring.  I am not sure the pictures I took do it justice, but you can get an idea of what it looks like so far.  As for me, I feel great!  I am 31 weeks today- time is going so fast! Going back to work has tired me more then I thought....I miss those afternoon naps!  The baby moves all the time which I take as a good sign.  I go back to the doctor this week to see if she is still breech or if she has turned herself around.
I guess that is all for now.  When we have more pictures of the finished room, I will post them.
